Overview
Bhutan’s extensive forest cover, exceeding 70% of the country, supports exceptional botanical diversity, including around 46 species of rhododendrons and more than 300 medicinal plants. During the journey, guests may encounter Himalayan yew (Taxus wallichiana), Bhutan cypress (Cupressus torulosa), firs, pines, junipers, magnolias, orchids, oaks, birches, rhododendrons, blue poppy, daphne, giant rhubarb, and other medicinal flora, including the botanically significant primitive tree Tetracentron sinense.
